Europe is built for the multi-country trip: high-speed trains cross borders in hours, budget flights connect everywhere, and a two-week itinerary can easily touch four countries. Your data plan should be as flexible as your route. That is exactly what a Europe regional eSIM is for.
How a Europe eSIM works
One eSIM, one data allowance, valid across dozens of European countries, the full country list is shown on the Europe plans page. When you cross a border, your phone drops the old network and picks up a partner network in the new country automatically, usually within minutes. You do not install anything new, restart anything, or think about it at all.
Regional bundle or single-country plans?
- One country only: a single-country plan is usually the better price, browse them by destination on the plans page.
- Two countries: could go either way, compare the two totals.
- Three or more: the regional bundle wins almost every time, one purchase, one allowance, zero border admin.
Picking a size for a multi-country trip
Multi-country trips tend to use MORE data than single-city stays: more navigation in unfamiliar places, more train-time browsing, more translation and booking apps. A rough guide:
- One week, 2-3 cities: 5 GB.
- Two weeks on the move: 10 GB.
- A month of interrailing, or remote work on the road: 20 GB or an unlimited plan.
If you run low mid-trip, plans top up from your My eSIMs page in a minute, and we email you at 50%, 80% and 95% usage so it never sneaks up on you.
Setup: three steps
- Buy your Europe plan online, delivery by email takes minutes.
- Install at home over Wi-Fi: tap the install button in the email, or scan the QR code from another device, or add it manually.
- On landing in your first country: enable data roaming on the eSIM line, set it as your data SIM, done for the whole trip.
Border-crossing tips
- If data does not return within a few minutes of arriving in a new country, toggle airplane mode on and off, that forces a fresh network search.
- On sleeper trains, do not worry about the phone hopping networks overnight, it sorts itself out.
- Your data allowance is shared across all countries, there is nothing to split or ration per country.

Is every European country included?
Coverage is broad but always check the country list on the Europe plans page against your itinerary before buying, especially for smaller territories.
Can I make calls with it?
Our plans are data plans. For calls, use WhatsApp, FaceTime or any internet calling app, which is how most travelers call home anyway. Your home SIM stays available for regular calls if needed.
What if I extend my trip?
Top up the existing eSIM from My eSIMs, no new installation needed.
Will the eSIM keep working on trains and ferries between countries?
On trains, yes, wherever there is normal mobile coverage along the route. On ferries, coverage works near coasts; mid-sea, ships offer their own paid satellite Wi-Fi which is separate from any SIM.
Are the UK and other non-EU countries included?
Bundle contents differ, so check the covered-country list on the plan page against your itinerary, it is always shown before you buy. If one stop is missing, a small single-country plan fills the gap.
